My Mother had an artistic flare and always encouraged me in anything I tried. I started to draw at a very early age. I would draw my characters on wood and cut them out with a little hand saw, then paint them. I liked to experiment with paint, let it drip, etc. to see what it would do.
I am a graduate of DuCret School of Art were I studied fine and graphic art.
After graduation, I would do children’s portraits by commission. My paintings were offered for sale in coffee houses along the Jersey shore. My work is owned by people all over the country.
Marriage, children and life got in the way and art had to take a back seat. It is amazing how far a tiny paint cap can spread on a toddler!
My art has been in shows in Florida, Maryland and New Jersey.
I've worked mainly in oil, pastel, photography, pencil, acrylic, sculpture and glass. I try any medium that grabs my attention.
I am proud to be a Board Member of TRACx81, Toms River Artist Community. I am also a member of Maryland Art Networking Group.
